In the lower level of tower Nebojsa, an ex dungeon, exhibition represents a space of discomfort, suffering and death. Therefore, red lighted walls are covered with two layers of specific curtain. First is a grid with photo frames, showing the faces of past prisoners, while the outer layer serves as a filter. It’s a curtain of fresnel lenses. Observed from an angle, they distort an image, while seeing it straight, it enlarges it.
Other levels show the hard history of Belgrade, combats and wars, with the omage to freedom at the top. Each level has a specific optical installation, which provides great evect, with a really modest expense. Project is financed by the govermant of Greece.
